Free silicon from Nintendo
BY Rain Anderson Oct. 2nd, 2007

wiijacket.jpgIn an attempt to make the Wii less dramatizing, Nintendo has announced the Wii Remote Jacket - a protective cushioning for the Wiimote. What it does is make the grip better and the person next to you won’t have to worry about getting a black eye anymore.

The silicon Jacket will be available free of charge to all current Wii owners. Nintendo started taking orders today, so all you have to do is contact them either by phone or nintendo.com/wii.com, give them your consoles serial number and they’ll hook you up. Newer Wii units will already have the Jacket packaged in and Wiimotes sold separately or packaged with Wii Play will also have the Jacket included.

George Harrison, Nintendo of America: “We’re always looking for ways to improve our products and make sure everyone has a safe and fun experience.”
