Two men who very much know what they’re doing, Harry Gregson-Williams and Stephen Barton, have been signed on as the composers for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The two have worked on movies like Kingdom of Heaven, Team America: World Police, Domino, Spy Game, Phone Booth, the Shrek movies etc.
Gregson-Williams has also worked in the video game industry before and has been involved in composing music for the Metal Gear games, including the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
With the developers pimping Call of Duty 4’s single-player portion as a truly cinematic experience, having composers who really know their stuff on board probably makes the end result only that much sweeter. And the wait that much longer..
