The most recent announcement from Ubisoft has made me a very happy gamer. They’ve just extended GRAW2’s lifespan by announcing the release of a new DLC pack.

A big chunk of the long time Ghost Recon fans have been wanting multiplayer maps from the original Ghost Recon games for a while. And now Ubisoft has granted this wish – all but two of the maps in the new DLC are remakes from the original Ghost Recon and its expansion Island Thunder.

The DLC pack includes five new co-op missions and nine new multiplayer maps:

Co-op maps: Caves (GR), Railroad Bridge (GR), Battlefield (GR), Plantation (GR:IT), Swamp Airfield (GR:IT).

Multiplayer maps: Business Park (new), Rooftop (new), Caves (GR), Railroad Bridge (GR), Battlefield (GR), Plantation (GR:IT), Swamp Airield (GR:IT), Prison (GR:IT) and Castle (GR).

This DLC will also add 125 Gamerpoints worth of new achievements:

Caves (Co-op) Perfect – 15 points
Complete Caves Co-op Mission without respawning at default or hard difficulty.

RR Bridge (Co-op) Perfect – 15 points
Complete Railroad Bridge Co-op Mission without respawning at default or hard difficulty.

Battlefield (Co-op) Perfect – 15 points
Complete Battlefield Co-op Mission without respawning at default or hard difficulty.

Swamp Airfield (Co-op) Perfect – 15 points
Complete Swamp Airfield Co-op Mission without respawning at default or hard difficulty.

Plantation (Co-op) Perfect – 15 points
Complete Plantation Co-op Mission without respawning at default or hard difficulty.

2-Point Swing – 15 points
In a CTF match with 5+ players, recover your stolen flag and score in a single run.

From Downtown – 10 points
Kill exactly 3 enemies and no teammates with one grenade on a map.

Clever Retort – 10 points
In a match, get a grenade kill while you are incapacitated or dead. Minimum 5 players.

Kickin’ it old school – 15 points
Complete a Co-op Mission without respawning, hard difficulty, and the Drone off.

The pricing of the DLC was not announced unfortunately, so until they do, we can always dream it will be a free download. The DLC will be released either late October or early November.

All in all well done Ubisoft, these maps should keep us busy until you announce the next Ghost Recon game.
