HD-DVD add-on buyers get 5 free movies
BY Rain Anderson Oct. 19th, 2007

Buyers of Xbox 360’s HD-DVD player add-on will get 5 free HD-DVD movies sent to them, if they’re willing to do just a little work for it - pick up a leaflet at a participating retailer or download a form from Xbox.com, fill it out and send it off.

The studios participating in this offer are Warner Brothers, Universal, Dreamworks and Paramount. And you even get to choose from 13 movies: Serenity, The Chronicles of Riddick, Hulk, Children of Men, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Troy, Full Metal Jacket, Corpse Bride, The Prestige, Swordfish, Black Rain, Dreamgirls, Word Trade Centre.

Unfortunately, this deal is only for the people in the UK. The bright side is, if you’ve bought your HD-DVD player since 1/10/07, you can get in on the free movie action. The deal lasts until the 31st January 2008 or while supplies last.

Stephen McGill, Head of Gaming and Entertainment for Microsoft UK: “The HD-DVD player for Xbox 360 gives customers a high quality and affordable way to enjoy state-of-the-art HD-DVD movies. We’re delighted to enable everyone to enjoy the technology to the full and offer some fantastic movie releases, completely free.”
