Xbox 360 owners have the most games
BY Rain Anderson Nov. 5th, 2007

Research from NPD shows that Xbox 360 owners in the U.S. also own the most games when compared to PlayStation 3 and Wii owners. On an average, every 360 owner has close to seven games, while PS3 and Wii are trailing with close to four and 3.44, respectively.

Of course, these numbers are not very fair towards PS3 and Wii when taking into account that Microsoft’s machine has been on the market considerably longer. So far the Xbox 360 has sold 6.8 million consoles in the US, Wii holds the second position with 4.5 million and PS3 is a distant third with just 1.9 million units sold.

The Wii is still a very new console that has yet to of been fully harnessed I think that once it has been (which is getting very close) with how well the latest installment of the Metroid series handles the innovative controls. We can’t afford to forget Mario Kart for the Wii either. I think that over time the Wii will out sell the 360 and owners will have more Wii games than the 360 simply because of the nature of the games. They are made for the casual gamer. (More of them than hardcore gamers) But will the casual buy as many games as the hardcore ones? Time will answer that.

However, in saying that I don’t think many people will boast a collection of Wii games as large as the 360 collection in the image.
