There are some disturbing rumors flying around that a big and very anticipated Microsoft first-partly title is going to get canceled.
Near the end of 1UP’s latest podcast, EGM editor Shane Bettenhausen said: “I won’t go into exacting detail because these rumors haven’t been confirmed but they’re definitely swirling around. They’re probably gonna break next week. So a preview of what you may be seeing next week. A big Microsoft first-party title that has been in the works for a very long time that people are very excited for, sounds like it’s being canceled.”
Could it be Banjo Kazooie 3 from Rare ? There have been no updates since the announcement/teaser trailer that was released a while ago. Or maybe it’s Too Human from Silicon Knights ? Previews have stated that the game still has quite a few problems, despite it’s long development cycle. Silicon Knights also had that whole lawsuit thing with Epic Games..
Whatever this game might turn out to be - if this rumor ends up being true that is - you better cross your fingers and hope it’s not a game that you’ve been looking forward to.
Update: If you’ve been looking forward to Fable 2 (story) or Banjo Kazooie 3 (story), rest easy. Developers of both games have assured their fans that their games are not the ones in question and are still very much in development.
