The Orange Box for PS3 slips to 2008

Sad news for PS3 owners – no Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 or Portal for you this year. Yup, the PlayStation 3 version of Valve’s The Orange Box has been delayed, shows the latest European release schedule from EA.

The PS3 version was initially supposed to hit stores a few weeks after the PC and Xbox 360 versions but is now marked down for a January 17 2008 release.

You can’t blame Valve for the delay though, while they did develop the 360 and PC versions, they handed the development of the PS3 version off to EA. You see, Valve Software co-founder Gabe Newell doesn’t like PlayStation3 very much.
