Analyst: 360 to outsell PS3 2-to-1 during Holidays
BY Rain Anderson Nov. 17th, 2007

The simExchange October review report predicts that Xbox 360 will outsell the PlayStation 3 in the US by almost 2-to-1, gamesindustry.biz writes.

Analyst Jesse Divnich believes Microsoft’s Xbox 360 will sell just over 2 million units, while Sony’s PlayStation 3 will sell just over 1 million between now and the end of the year.

Predictions show that Nintendo’s Wii and DS systems will beat them both by a huge margin however, selling 3.28 million and 2.86 million units respectively.

Talking about software, the highly anticipated PS3-exclusive Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is predicted to sell 286,000 units in December. But thanks to the lower-than-expected global review scores, sales estimates for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed have taken a downfall - revised estimates have fallen from 2.85 million copies to 1.84 million for the Xbox 360 and from 1.48 million to 1.38 million for the PS3 version.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare from Infinity Ward is expected to keep going strong and is expected to take the top spot in the US in November.
