Microsoft working on DivX support for Xbox 360
BY Rain Anderson Nov. 17th, 2007

In a conference call with investors, DivX CEO Kevin Hell has revealed that, although not yet finalized, a deal is in the works with Microsoft to add DivX playback functionality to Xbox 360. While not a priority, they’re “in discussions with Microsoft on that at this point in time,” Hell said.

Earlier this week, DivX officially announced that PlayStation 3 will soon be getting DivX support. It’s now been revealed that support for it has already been partially implemented in the recent 2.00 firmware update and the full functionality will be implemented in the next update.
