PS3 and Assassin’s Creed not getting along
BY Rain Anderson Nov. 18th, 2007

The PlayStation 3 version of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed is causing a number of problems for a lot of people. Several gaming forums have big topics forming where gamers report problems like massive screen tearing, character freezing, geometry clipping, serious frame rate issues and good old lock-ups and crashes.

The good news is that Ubisoft is working on the issues. At the time of writing, there’s a 22 page forum topic at the official Ubisoft forums where gamers are encouraged to post what firmware version their PS3 is running on and also to describe the problems they’re experiencing in depth.

Until Ubisoft comes up with a solution, it’s probably a good idea to get the Xbox 360 version - if you’re able to make that choice.
