BioShock fixes, new content next week

A piece of news about an upcoming PC patch and a title update for the Xbox 360 version of BioShock was posted on The Cult of Rapture, BioShock’s official community site.

Both will arrive some time next week along with a piece of downloadable content. The DLC will be available for free on Xbox Live and will be bundled with the patch for PC users.

No word yet on what the downloadable content actually is but some time ago the developers of the game said that a lot of the plasmids never made it into the final version of the game and releasing them would offer some freshness to the BioShock experience without changing or adding anything to the story. Guess we’ll find out next week. All the details about what the patches will fix will be released next week when the downloads become available.

Update: 2K community manager Elizabeth Tobey has clarified on the contents of the DLC – it will indeed include new plasmids, plus a way to disable the Vita-Chambers for hardcore play.
