It’s been a year now since Nintendo launched Wii and the company still has problems keeping up with demand. And this holiday season won’t be any different.
The poor company now has to resort to not advertising the system. Yup, Nintendo will replace a number of television and print ads they planned to run in the UK because the demand is too high as it is and it doesn’t want to fuel the demand any further.
“We have been running the campaign all year round, but we want to take a responsible stance this Christmas and not fuel demand,” a Nintendo spokesman told MarketingWeek. During the holidays, Nintendo will promote their DS hendheld system instead.

They could probably use a break to count all the money they’re made from Wii so far anyway…
