PS3’s UT3 gets first user-created map
BY Rain Anderson Dec. 21st, 2007

In a posting over at the official Epic Games Forums, VP Mark Rein announced that the first ever piece of user-created content for the PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 is now available. The map, named DM-Shrine, was made by a long-time fan of the Unreal series who has also done a few maps in the past for the original UT.

Rein describes the map: “DM-Shrine is is a great little map that’s perfect those close-quarters, 2-6 player, matches that keep your adrenaline pumping from beginning to end. A lot of our DM maps in UT3 are designed for larger player counts so this provides a great contrast and a chance to play in a more intimate setting. I’ve always loved these types of maps and I hope you folks do as well!”

Head over to Rein’s post for a few download locations and instructions on how to install it to your PS3. And check here for some screenshots of the map. We just hope enough gamers have been able to actually find a copy of the game to enjoy the map.
