Del-Rey Books and Drew Karpyshyn, the author of the novel, have announced the second book in the series of Mass Effect novels. The book will arrive in Summer ‘08 and is called Mass Effect: Ascension.

While the first Mass Effect novel, Revelation, was a prequel to the first game and offered the first insight into the Mass Effect universe, Ascension is meant to bride the gap between the first and second Mass Effect game (which should be out within two years).
