The image above has been circulating today (click here for the full size version), claming to be a screenshot from Half-Life 3. I’m going to have to call BS on this one. Looks like someone with nothing better to do found himself some nice CGI work and pasted in the crowbar, HUD and logos.
It’s been confirmed that there will be more Half-Life goodness in our future but for now, Valve is probably too busy with Half-Life 2 Episode Three to start promoting anything beyond that.

This shot actually came out before half life 2 did. Its old. Its fake. Get over it.

Damn, what’s with the hostility? Yeah, it’s old. So what? You can’t expect everyone to have seen every fake picture out there ffs. Were you guys searching for “Half-Life 3 screenshots” on Google and got pissed when you saw an old fake one ? lol :)

For your personal knolwdge, this is a matte painting for reference in the movie “Immortal Ad Vitam”, i found it in the gallery of an artist over CGNetwork.
