The rate at which PC graphics are evolving is just insane. Feels like we just hit DirectX 10 and now there’s already talk of DX 11 appearing in the not too distant future.
Fudzilla.com has found out at the International Consumer Electronics Show that Microsoft plans to finish up DirectX 11 as soon as late 2008 or early 2009. I imagine the first DX11 GPU’s will begin to arrive around the same time, with games perhaps a year behind.
This will no doubt go over real well with people who have just purchased a DX10 card or are planning to do so once the new series of DX10 cards start to arrive early this year.
