Nyko’s Wireless Nunchuk awarded Best of CES
BY Rain Anderson Jan. 10th, 2008

CNet has given out their “Best of CES” awards and Nyko was on the receiving end of the gaming award for the Wireless Nunchuck accessory for Wii.

The Wireless Nunchuck has a 2.4 GHz wireless adapter and a three meter wireless range so unless you’re a giant, you shouldn’t experience any problems with losing connectivity. The accessory comes with two AAA batteries which provide up to 30 hours of gameplay and should become available in late January for $29.99.

Nyko is of course very pleased with the honor and the company has released the following statement.

Chris Arbogast, Director of Marketing at Nyko Technologies: “The nomination for CNET’s ‘Best of CES’ award was an honor in itself, but taking home the award for the gaming category is an even greater privilege. Winning this prestigious award showcases how highly consumers and the tech community think of Nyko’s commitment to advancing gameplay technologies.”

The Wireless Nunchuck joins a number of other Wii accessories Nyko has previously released, like the Wireless Sensor Bar and Perfect Shot gun accessory for example.

It was only a matter of time. I’m surprised Nintendo hasn’t come up with something like this though.
