Nintendo delays Super Smash Bros. Brawl
BY Rain Anderson Jan. 15th, 2008

Nintendo has delayed Super Smash Bros. Brawl in both Japan and the US. Japan is facing a short delay of 7 days - the release has been moved from January 24th to the 31st. Gamers in the US will have to wait a bit longer however - instead of February 10th, the game will now be released on March 9th. According to Kotaku’s sources close to Nintendo, the game was simply in need of some more polish.

The games’ official website states: “Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we’ve had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th.

I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience.”

As for the European and Australian release dates, they haven’t even been announced yet. Whatever happened to simultaneous global launches?
