Shortly after the holiday troubles Xbox LIVE was experiencing, Marc Whitten from Microsoft let gamers know that every Xbox LIVE member will be receiving a free Arcade game.

As suspected, Microsoft won’t give you the option of choose your own game but they’ve actually made a pretty good choice (except for those who already own it of course) - Undertow. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 3 and lets you play as a Iron Marine and battle an aquatic alien race who have secretly launched a devastating attack on Earth, and it’s up to you to kick their aquatic butts.

The underwater adventure, normally costing 800 Points, will be available free of charge starting next Wednesday (2:00 a.m. PST) through Sunday (11:59 p.m. PST). We’ll be sure to remind you when the time comes.
