Here’s even more news from Electronic Arts’ recent, very informative conference call - both Battlefield: Bad Company and Mercenaries 2: World in Flames have been delayed to fiscal year 2009, as it seems they’re in need of some “additional polish”. The already delayed Mercenaries 2 was supposed to be released early this year, with Bad Company — which is being hyped up by the devs as a game that will change the way shooters are played — following sometime in the spring. But now, the soonest anyone will could possibly see these titles on store shelves is April 1 ‘08.

EA CEO John Riccitiello: “We’ve made the decision to move Battlefield: Bad Company and Mercenaries 2 into fiscal 2009. Both titles are looking great, and we believe with additional polish, we will build a better consumer experience and thereby maximize our economics.”
