BY Rain AndersonFeb. 12th, 2008

Welcome to our second giveaway here at That VideoGame Blog. This time around we’re looking to get rid of two copies of Frontlines: Fuel of War (courtesy of THQ and Burning Truth), the peak oil shooter from Kaos Studios. All the details on how to enter etc are below in Q&A form. Should you have a question that is not answered below, leave a comment below or drop us a line, our mailboxes are always open. Here we go:

Is this one of those “U.S. only” giveaways? Nope. It doesn’t matter where you live, everyone can participate in our giveaways. We’re cool like that :)

What do I win? One PC and one Xbox 360 copy of Frontlines: Fuel of War are up for grabs (we were planning on including the PS3 version too but it was canceled recently).

How can I participate? We’re calling this a ‘comments giveaway’, so all you have to do to participate is leave a comment on ANY story on That VideoGame Blog and you’re automatically entered into the giveaway. The more comments you leave, the bigger your chances of winning. But keep in mind - spamming every story with lame comments is a good way to get you disqualified. So kindly keep it fair and comment only when you have something to say.

Alternatively, you can sign up to receive our spam-free daily updates (lower right side of this page). Just be sure to use your real email in both cases, otherwise we have no way to contact you.

When does it end? The giveaway ends on February 29th.

About Frontlines: In case you haven’t paid much attention to the game or have missed its existence completely, Frontlines: Fuel of War talks about what would happen if our dear ol’ planet would run out of oil about 20 years from now and if the scientists weren’t smart enough to come up with a viable alternative energy source before then. The answer is naturally conflict on a global scale. Major alliances will be made and wars will be fought over the remaining energy sources with cool futuristic weaponry, gadgets, and vehicles.

The game supports 32 player multi-player and has over 60 vehicles and weapons, all based on real world technology being developed by the modern military. You can use everything from guided smart bombs and remote control combat drones to the good old fashioned assault rifle.

Here’s a few screenshots from the game. For more, hit our Frontlines: Fuel of War gallery.

That’s it! Now hit the front page, read some news, and comment away. Best of luck to all!

Kiser, they haven’t announced anything yet, that’s for sure. Anyway, I think there’s be plenty in the game to keep us busy for a while. The MP demo took me 30 minutes of getting used to but once I got familiar with the maps, classes, found the exact controller sensitivity etc, it’s great fun imo.

Hi, I am part of the emerging tournament Conflict FFOW. We are a gming community dedicated to the competitve play in BF2142 and the upcoming Frontlines Fuel of War . This game is going to revolutionize how games are going to be played; instead of being sneaky and capping back flags, this game is geared towards head - head combat which is a great idea.

    James,

Yeah, though what bothers me most about the drones is people use them as suicide drones and not for there purpose.

This is the one game that truly provokes a genuine emotional response from me.Sure i curse and swear whilst playing other First person shooters but nothing gets me going like this game.It has all the action you can cope with and a definative frontline to aim for, protect and extend !!
I bought many released games last year but i haven’t enjoyed myself as much as i have whilst playing the Frontlines beta.

Over at 21stcenturywarfare we’ve been running a beta campaign for the past several weeks.I’m not going to lie and say it was easy just switching over to it from BF2 but after we started getting the hang of it and getting to know the kit layouts it was a blast to play.We were running a 64 man server for the entire camp and let me tell you 64 people on Street was awesome. Not one second of downtime any where on the map, there was constant action everywhere

Oh and about the drones I have to agree with Acid about too many people using it just to kill people and not for what it’s meant to do.

If you want to know anymore about our tournament during the beta camp just go to 21stcenturywarfare.com or go over to outpostgamez there is a link there also.

I thought the game rocked. I have been stuck playing the mp demo ever since it was released on xbox live. I hope other people see the potential that this game offers. I have not had any lag yet.
