After releasing BioShock for both PC and Xbox 360, 2K Games probably has a firm grasp on developing games on Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3. And Epic is of course happy have them aboard, so much even that the company put out a press release yesterday saying that 2K is using the UE3 technology and toolset for yet to be announced games.
Epic’s VP Mark Rein is excited about continuing their relationship with 2K and said he has no doubt that UE3 “will continue to assist 2K in producing the industry’s most amazing and original games.” 2K’s president Christoph Hartmann sends some nice words Epic’s way as well and says they’ve had a very positive experience working on UE3 in the past and that “Epic’s technology and support is expected to help 2K produce world-class titles for games on any platform.” Can’t you just feel love ?
