Atari has released the first episode of what they call “Real World Rules” tech demos for their upcoming Alone in the Dark game. Eden Games’ producer walks us through this 4-something minute video which shows off their new game engine, how basic gameplay works, and how interesting getting rid of your enemies in this game can be. Overall some mighty impressive stuff, especially the MacGyver’ish gameplay.

Alone in the Dark is being developed for PC, PS2, PS3, X360 and Wii. Eden Games in handling the PC, PS3 and 360 versions, while Hydravision is taking care of the Wii and PS2 versions.
