Midway has just sent over a press release about the European release date of Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3. The game will arrive on store shelves all over Europe as soon as this month, and actually in just a few days from now - on February 22nd.

Martin Spiess, European Managing Director of Midway Games says: “The separated format releases have worked well, effectively giving each sku its own space. Epic has delivered a game of impeccable quality and superb playability, and sales figures clearly show the timing was also spot on.” He added, “It’s impossible to overstate the strategic value we place on the Unreal franchise, which is why we’re investing considerably in bespoke launches for each of the games’ formats.”

The release also stated that PC and PS3 versions combined, Midway has shipped 1.2 million copies of the game so far.
