Sony’s on a roll, there was wide speculation that 2008 was the year PlayStation 3 would finally start to hit its stride, and with all the news we’ve been getting today it does in fact seem like Sony is not messing around.

I’ve just got my hands on a press release stating that a rumored PS3 bundled with MGS4 and other goodies is definitely coming to North America sometime around the second quarter of this year. The bundle will include the 80GB PS3, MGS4 and a DualShock 3 wireless controller all to the tune of $499 USD.

The standalone wireless Dual Shock 3 controllers will be hitting the market and will be available for everyone in April, going for $54.99 USD.

Damn, what’s going on over at Sony? They’ve been dropping megaton bombs all day, I’m sure forums all across the net are EXPLODING with fans licking their chops in anticipation of Sony stepping up their game.

Well if you don’t have a PS3 yet, and are looking to get one, I’d wait for this baby! Not only do you get the sneaky, neck snapping goodness of MGS4, but you’ll get a DualShock 3 controller as well, not bad.
