Alone in the Dark’s Real World Rules Tech Demo #2
BY Rain Anderson Feb. 27th, 2008

It was pretty evident from the first Real World Rules tech demo that Alone in the Dark is going to rock our socks off. Well, this second one only confirms it. The precision with which you can manipulate the objects in the world to either solve puzzles, create cover, or god knows what other uses they’ve come up with, looks sweet. Now if we’d only have a solid release date to attach our excitement to, although we do know the game should arrive some time in May.

That is just cool. I love interactive environments like that. It adds so much to games.

What a yawnfest. Do people still play 3rd person? That tech shown is nothing new BTW. maybe for a console but not for a PC.

It’s not about the tech as much as the gameplay with this game imo. And what’s wrong with TPS’s ? They work great for some games. You think AoD would work better if it was from the first person perspective ?
