Those of you looking to smack talk with your friends while drifting around that hairpin turn and trying to avoid that banana peel in Mario Kart Wii will have to wait a bit longer it seems.

The Big N is instead going to implement a text feature, allowing you to text people on your friend list. Text messages you say? Somebody should remind Nintendo that’s so last gen. All in all I’m willing to bet that Nintendo is still going to have their money dump trucks working overtime when this game drops. I’m just hoping that they implement a feature much like EA uses with it’s EA Nation, allowing you to pre-set a message macro so you can say “I’m on your ASS!” with a quick prompt push.
