The study which was conducted by Think Services’ Game Developer magazine and Game Developer Research division, took many factors into account when compiling the list. From number of games released and average review scores, to adding up how many times games showed up on top ten lists, and finally to a reputation survey conducted by gamasutra.com, which not only asked the community to score developers reputation, but to rate interaction in working with or for the developers.
