Reminder: Mass Effect DLC

Mass Effect is arguably one of the best RPGs of all time. It combines amazing visuals, with a level of voice acting not seen in a game before it, and a deep and rich story that rivals even that of the new Battlestar Galactica. For the people who have played through Mass Effect once, perhaps even twice, this is for you. Because, in just a few hours time, Bioware will be unleashing unto its hordes of undying fans a content pack that “expands the Mass Effect universe and continues the adventures of Commander Shepard and the Normandy crew”.

The content pack, titled Bring Down the Sky, will cost 400 MS points ($5), and offer you 90 minutes of all new gameplay, and also includes the introduction of a new race to the galactic stage, the Batarians. The Batarians are isolationists who rarely leave the borders of the Terminus system. That is until a Batarian extremist group hijacks a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. So make sure you have the Normandy ready to go, you’ll be needing it.

This is the first of several planned expansion packs to the already rich Mass Effect Universe. The expansion goes live 2 am PST.
