Like clockwork, the debut trailer for Motorstorm 2 has arrived, along with a press release officially announcing the title.

Like we learned earlier from some OPM scans, the second game will take place on a Pacific island instead of the desert and — next to ATVs, rally cars, buggies, motorbikes, race trucks, mudpluggers and Big Rigs — will introduce monster trucks that “climb, sprint and roll over any other vehicle in their way.”

Motorstorm 2 will have 16 multi-route tracks instead of the 8 that were in the first game, taking speed freaks through “thick swamps, dense jungle, towering peaks and steaming volcanoes.” 4-player split-screen mode has also been added and of course online multiplayer is back with 16-player online races on PSN.

That’s all the info we have right now, but seeing as the game will be released this fall, expect the first screenshots and actual gameplay vids to arrive sooner rather than later.
