Used to be when something was “leaked” it was a big deal. Media outlets would be falling all over themselves trying to get the scoop and get that information to the masses.

Now-a-days everybody and their grandmothers, uncle’s, and dogs are “leaking” information left and right. Well add Midway to the fray. In a recent conference call to investors, Midway head honcho David Zucker took a cue from everyone else and decided to drop the hint that the new Mortal Kombat game is going to arrive this year.

Nothing else was said beyond that but it’s known that the game is powered by Unreal Engine 3 and is expected to be a multi-platform release for PS3 and the 360. There was also some confusion about a possible PC version last year.

Now a relevant question, does anyone even still play Mortal Kombat games? I mean people must, being that there seems to be a new MK game almost every year.
