Have some cake and enjoy Portal: The Flash Version

I’m not sure if Valve is the cease and desist type of company, but you may want to try out this addictive version of Portal before it’s removed.

Portal: The Flash Version, as its name implies, is a port of Valve’s addictive and smart puzzle, which won the Game of the Year award at the 2008 Game Developers Conference.

It’s truly amazing how the flash version emulates the original game in 2D. While it of course suffers from some of flash’s limitations, the graphics are actually sharp and stylish, and the puzzles are as smart (and frustrating too, in some cases) as what Valve offered in The Orange Box game compilation for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The free, online version of the game was created by We Create Stuff, a group self described as “nerds with way too much free time,” and you can play it here.
