Ever since the war between Blu-ray and HD DVD ended (thank God) there has been speculation that Microsoft would jump on the bandwagon and start using the winning format in the 360’s. Well, Microsoft has an answer for us: No!

Aaron Greenberg, group product manager for Xbox 360, told Reuters: “Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Bu-ray into the Xbox experience,” also adding, “We’re the only console offering digital distribution of entertainment content.”

And there we have it. We can lay to rest all the claims for the “Xbox Prestige” with it’s 200GB hard drive, Blu-ray player and holographic achievement simulator.
