Don’t act surprised, we all saw this coming. Infinity Ward’s Call Of Duty 4 has been riding high on the charts ever since its release, so of course it wouldn’t be long before there was a “special edition” of the game. In this case they’re going with the prestigious Game of the Year Edition, announced exclusively for the 360.

Like most Game of the Year Editions, this game comes packed with some things that aren’t included in the original, which I’m sorry to say isn’t much in this case. You’ll get the same exact game as before, just with a token for use on Xbox LIVE that will allow you to download the upcoming map pack. And that’s it.

No word on price yet. But the GotY Edition is set to drop sometime next month, which is also when the map packs are coming.

this is a weird package, it would make much more sense to just include the maps on this new release. nevertheless Call of Duty 4 is one of the best FPS to come along while, anyone else think its the best FPS on the Xbox 360?

I would agree with you there, COD4 is a very good game when I got my 360 in Dec. it was actually the first game I purchased, and consequently the reason I decided to get a 360 amongst other reasons.

Needless to say after spending much time with the game, and completing it from storyline to online everything, had me blown away! Much more than Halo, which was solid, but I prefer COD4 better.

Can’t wait for Infinity Wards next COD (6 I think is them), I think that one is going to be bananas!!!
