Add one more game to the list of niche hardcore games still arriving regularly on the PS2, which I posted about here. The newest issue of massivle popular Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has revealed a plethora of information about the upcoming Persona 4, which will be released in Japan on July 10th. Persona 3 was a modest hit in the U.S. last year, so a North American release of the sequel is likely, albeit unconfirmed at this point. While part 3 used a high school setting to balance the dark and mysterious world you fought in at night, number 4 transports you to the country for a good old fashioned who-done-it murder mystery.

Some features include: over 180 personas, 60-70 hours of game play, multiple endings, and a game that is about 1.5 times the size of Persona 3, which was quite large in its own right. More pics can be found at AkaYuki.com’s weekly Famitsu Info and Scans.
