Next to revealing what the DS add-on for Guitar Hero: On Tour looks like, Activision has now sent out some more details on how you can expect to be rocking out while on the go.

On Tour will take full advantage of the DS and its touch screen capabilities - you’ll use the screen to strum your guitar and sign autographs (on fans shirts none-the-less), and you’ll be able to blow into the DS mic to help “extinguish pyrotechnics effects gone wrong” (gimmick anyone?). Activision is promising that this will be a game designed from the ground up and they’re delivering five new venues, 6 playable characters (two of which are new), and giving players the chance to customize their guitars with different colors. If you’re a fan of the series you’ll want to remember this release window - Summer 2008.
