If you’ve listened to any podcasts, or read just about any PC gaming column in the last month you’ll already know that Sins Of A Solar Empire is definitely making its presence known. Being praised for its endlessly customizable armadas and deeply addictive game play, this seems like a game that will be talked about for some time to come.
Now, if you still haven’t gotten around to venturing to your local Wal-Mart to give this game a whirl, you can do so from the comfort of your home. Just yesterday, the Sins demo landed on the web and it’s already racking up thousands of downloads. The demo features four tutorials, two maps supporting up to two AI players, a single randomly generated medium map with up to 3 AI players, and a 90 minute time limit.
Head on over to your favorite online download station (one, two) and take the Empire for a test drive. Be warned, however, as you may experience an ever decreasing social life in the coming weeks…

This game is really cool. My buddy is really good at RTS games and he installed it on my computer, we then used the HDMI port on my computer to hook it up to my 50″ plasma, it was incredible! Hundreds of ships, large and small were battling it out for control of 4 planets. Mercs with bounty’s on are heads were attacking us from all sides but are fleet was so large nothing could stand in our way. This game, if you are a fan of RTS games, it a must buy.

This game makes me wish I had a really nice gaming PC, perhaps in the near future…
