Release dates clarified for several PS3 exclusives

Haze, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, Resistance 2; these are titles that every PS3 owner no doubt knows, even though release dates for said games have been a little tricky to come by. But, it seems evasive release dates are turning into a thing of the past and gamers can slowly start marking their calendars.

Haze, the game with the most ‘entertaining’ release schedule in recent memory, has been penciled in for a May 22nd release in Europe. Surely other regions won’t be far behind (or ahead).

The bigger guns will be saved for Fall however, first of those being Killzone 2 which is set for a September release. As for Resistance 2, it seems it will go head to head with Microsoft’s biggest shooter of the year, Gears of War 2, this November. And LittleBigPlanet’s September release has been confirmed once again as well.

With Metal Gear Solid 4 and GT5 Prologue hitting the streets soon, that’s not a bad line-up for Sony so far. Not bad at all.

It’s moments like this that make me happy I bought a PS3 instead of a 360. Althought I must admit, I mostly bought it for MGS4, now I HAVE to get LittleBigPlanet as well!

Wow Sony is really feeling confident pitting Resistence against Gears. But I honestly think Gears will own that month. As for the others there isn’t really any competition, Sony is releasing all it’s big guns this year, and it should help them cover ground.

But to use a tired fanboy retort, what happens after those titles are on the market? Kojima has said (as he’s said before) there won’t be anymore Metal Gear Stories, or rather he’s not going to actively work on one (and has another project in the works), Killzone 1 never lived up to the hype (good game though), Haze looks kind of meh, and Little Big Planet should be stellar, but what next?

But with the other two companies blowing their collective wad so to speak last year and early this year (looking at you Smash Bros, Mario Kart, WiiFit), Sony can bask in the majority of the exclusivity light this year.

These games make me happy i have a ps3 and not a 360.Gears of war 2 doesnt stand a chance against any of those games accept for HAZE. Nothing will be better than killzone 2 resistance 2 or little big planet, 3 of the best games ever made exclusivley for PS3.Plus MGS4 best game out at the moment. Ps3 have the most exclusives and every1 of them are amazing. but 360 have 1 OK exclusive not the best but OK gears of war 2 or remake of first one but with little better graphics. PS3 has already been crowned king of consoles fand will be for so many years to come and cant wait whats in store for us PS3 owners in the future.
