Mercenaries 2 blowing up a country near you in late August
BY Dan HaspertApril 4th, 2008 More on:

Mercenaries 2 is one of many misfortunate games to experience multiple delays, and while the only thing we can do is suffer through these delays, our suffering will now ease a bit as EA and Pandemic have finally announced a firm release date for the game - August 31st.

While those of us who have been eagerly awaiting the release of the next chapter of Pandemic’s high octane action are a bit disappointed, I have a feeling we would be even more disappointed if the game shipped soon in a broken state. Look at the bright side, with games like Too Human, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Grand Theft Auto IV all shipping over the next 5 months, the wait should be a breeze, and a little easier on the old pocket book.

Along with the announcement of a release date, Pandemic gave us a new Mercenaries 2 trailer in which we get a glimpse at not only the single player story, but some of the glorious ways we will be blowing stuff up. But, is blowing up an entire country a bit over kill for getting shot in the ass? Nah.
