Zappies Wireless Wii Remote and Nunchuk
BY Se Ajala Apr. 4th, 2008 More on:

The other day, while blasting some zombies in the face ala Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles I pondered, why hasn’t Nintendo released a wireless Wii Remote and Nunchuk combo? I mean is it that hard for them to figure it out, or is it just not practical?

It seems that wish has been answered yet again by a 3rd party, as gamers looking to play without cumbersome wires between their controllers can look to the new wireless system being implemented by Zappies Ltd. The way it works is a sensor is hooked to the Wii Remote and the partner Nunchuck is inserted into a wireless housing. You then simply hit the synch button and voilà, you have wireless control.

The unit is powered by 2 AAA batteries, giving you 20 hours of playtime. It also conveniently lets you know when you’re connected, and is compatible with the power button on the Wii Remote. However, all that pales in comparison to the lifetime guarantee that Zappies is offering along with the product. Talk about having faith in your work, and you get all that for just £19:95.

We still prefer Nyko’s Wireless Nunchuk, but if you’re liking the Zappies Wireless Nunchuk, it’s available at retailers now, and is currently a UK exclusive.
