Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G eats up Japanese charts
BY Se AjalaApril 7th, 2008 More on:

If there’s one thing Capcom can count on, it’s selling a crap load of Monster Hunter games in Japan. While the series never really took off in other regions as it has in Japan, it sells like stock ammunition at a gun convention there. The most recent iteration in the series, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, launched and went straight to the top of the charts selling 880,000 units.

It seems like the PSP is really starting to become a must-have system, which is rather odd since for the longest time it was considered nothing more than a neat gadget for graphics whores on the go. Or perhaps everyone in Japan already owns three DS’s and they just needed something else to spend their money on…
