If you ever had a chance to catch any of the episodes in the Afro Samurai miniseries and the story of its protagonist trying to get revenge for his father’s murder, you know all about the style and flair of the animation, violence, soundtrack, and of course Samuel L. Jackson.
Namco Bandai is about to put the fate of Afro in your hands with the release of an Afro Samurai game on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is said to follow the storyline of the anime miniseries as well as add some perspective to Afro’s background, so this will warrant at least a look from fans of the show. As with the cartoon, Samuel L. Jackson is handling voice-over duties (can’t be that hard considering Afro rarely speaks, well unless Ninja Ninja is in there), and RZA of Wu-Tang Clan is handling the soundtrack.
Afro Samurai is expected sometime this Fall on both PS3 and the 360 sometime in the Fall.
