New Midnight Club games share release dates
BY Andrew WoodsApril 22nd, 2008 More on:

Rockstar has announced that the two Midnight Club games currently in development — Midnight Club: Los Angeles (Xbox 360, PS3) and Midnight Club: LA Remix (PSP) — will be sharing release dates come September.

Developed by Rockstar’s San Diego studios, Midnight Club: Los Angeles will be released in North America on September 9th and in Europe on September 12th. Whilst sticking to its roots of open world racing with no load times, no recognized tracks, and no rules, Rockstar are also trying to push the envelope somewhat when compared to previous titles in the franchise. As producer Jay Panek explains: “People are going to be blown away when they see how true-to-life Los Angeles looks in this game. We’ve added some great twists and turns that let players experience the authentic vibe and feel of the city at blistering speeds that you simply couldn’t get away with in real life.”

Players will be able to choose from a wide variety of cars and motorcycles and in addition, can now also pimp them out to their hearts content inside and out with all manner of spoilers, rims and other gadgets to make your ride go faster and look cooler.

Also scheduled for release on September 9th comes the Rockstar London-developed Midnight Club: LA Remix for the PSP. Although details on this title are a bit thin on the ground, it is promised that the game will take full advantage of the hardware the PSP has to offer and will deliver an “unrivaled sense of speed and style that the best-selling Midnight Club series is known for.”
