Alone in the Dark gets a Limited Edition
BY Luke WalkerApril 23rd, 2008 More on:

The new Alone in the Dark game may take place in the Big Apple, but Atari is saving the big love for Europe with the announcement of a European Limited Edition box set for PC, Xbox 360 and Wii. The Limited Edition box contains:

  • The Alone in the Dark game
  • A Figurine of the game’s hero, Edward Carnby
  • An Official Soundtrack CD featuring 8 in-game tracks of original music by Olivier Derivière and performed by Grammy Award-winning choir The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices
  • A full color, bound art book featuring never before seen production sketches, storyboards and original artwork from Eden Games
  • A ‘Making Of’ documentary feature DVD with exclusive interviews, behind the scenes footage and additional bonus content

Alone in the Dark is told in the episodic style of a television drama and promises action, plot twists and cliff hangers — all without a single commercial interruption. It features a DVD-style chapter select allowing the player to actually ‘fast-forward’ should they get stuck or too scared of a certain area in the game, so everyone will get a chance to see the game through to the end.

The Limited Edition is set to release at the same time as the regular release in June. Expect these to sell out fast, so survive the horror and be sure to pre-order.
