With all the talk of late focused solely on Grand Theft Auto IV, some of the other games coming down the pipeline have taken a back seat. Konami, presumably in an effort to keep their “killer app” in the lime light, have released a new Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer.

While the trailer is in Japanese, and most of the footage has been seen in previous trailers, the small bits of new footage is enough to remind PS3 owners and Metal Gear fans alike, that while GTA IV may be the multi-platform game of the year, one of Sony’s PS3-exclusive heavy-hitters is only over a month away.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is scheduled for a simultaneous world wide release June 12^th.
