Shigeru Miyamoto may make one heck of living profiting off videogames, but even he has to admit that excessive gaming is not very good for you. In a recent interview with The Times, Miyamoto explained: “Spending too long, staying in and playing any video game is not good. I always tell my children to get out on a sunny day and I, myself, went jogging in Central Park yesterday. But I do my stretching on Wii Fit. They work together.”

That’s pretty good advice I’d say. Wii Fit was not meant to take the place of regular exercise, but rather to expand on it. You could go to the gym and run around the track, but if it’s raining out or you have some spare time at home, Wii Fit is there to fill in the gaps. Or heck, just plug it in and have fun. I won’t judge you.

Either way, Wii Fit is a phenomenon on this bouncing blue ball called Earth. Folks in North America will be able to join in on the revolution when it is released on May 21st. And if you got extra cash laying around, don’t forget to accessorize.
