Microsoft winding down 360 in India
BY Thom Dinsdale May. 20th, 2008 More on:

Along with China, India is one of the world’s fastest growing economies and full of opportunities for organizations looking to expand when the developed world is tightening its belt. However, Microsoft seems to have failed to make the most of this opportunity and are shutting down their operation in a number of Indian cities, according to a CNBC report.

The report has found that console has seen disappointing sales in India since its release in September 2006, putting it down to slopping customer support, high hardware failure and game piracy. As a result Microsoft is throwing in the towel in and withdrawing from the market.

As of yet Microsoft is not disclosing sales figures and CNBC is not citing its sources for the report. So fanboys should hang on a little while before they start shouting this from the rooftops.
