2K Sports launches website to hype up Prizefighter
BY Se Ajala May. 30th, 2008 More on:

Don King and hype go together like pie and crust. So it’s only natural that while trying to build up some sort of a buzz for the upcoming Don King Presents: Prizefighter, 2K Sports would launch HypeKingdom.com to get gamers into the ebb and flow of a boxing simulator. The site allows players to walk in the shoes of a boxing promoter, namely Don King, and coaches you in the fine art of trash talking, promoting a fighter, and bout.

Key features of the site are as follows:

  • Name Generator - try to pick something outrageous
  • Customizable Hype Spoken by Don King - which will allow you to generate your own hype, Mad-Lib style all spoken by Don King
  • Complete Guide to King’s English - a dictionary of King’s slang that you can use to elevate your hype game
  • Hype Boards - trade stories with others and let them know how you feel about the game

EA Sports’ Fight Night franchise has been the reigning champ for boxing games for quite some time, but Don King Presents: Prizefighter is claiming to be the deepest, most authentic and entertaining boxing experience available on the market. It will be more than just matching up some stats and getting into the ring, allowing players to train, build their career, face adversity, temptation and try to come out on top as the champ. The story will unfold in a documentary style and feature a strong supporting cast of former boxers and throws some Penthouse Pets at you to try and tempt you throughout your career.

Prizefighter will be available June 10 for Xbox 360 and in the fall for Wii and DS.
