Street Fighter IV console versions get special treatment
BY Jeremy Hill May. 31st, 2008 More on:

Recently Capcom finally officially announced that Street Fighter IV would be making its way to consoles in the future, and now we learn that the transition between the arcade and the home will not be just a simple port. According to Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono who spoke with Famitsu magazine, the console versions will be including features the arcade one lacks, like console-exclusive characters and an online component. “We’ll be adding characters while watching the overall balance,” he said adding, “We won’t be adding unnecessary stuff,” in regards to the online mode.

Famitsu.com also had some details about two of the new characters, Rufus and Seth. Rufus is another rival of Ken’s (poor Ryu), and Seth, who can use technology to alter his fighting style. The other new characters whom we may have heard about or seen are Crimson Viper, Abel, and El Fuerte.

The game is not even close to being finished for consoles and no release date has been uttered. However, do expect for it to be released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
