Capcom teases new unknown Wii game
BY Se Ajala Jun. 2nd, 2008 More on:

Capcom has been one of the early third-party developers not only to put its titles out on the Wii, but also enjoy some success. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition has sold over 1 million copies, the stellar Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros Treasure has met sales expectations, and newly released PS2 port of Okami is trudging along at a steady pace.

Well, Capcom looks to have some big plans in the release window for Wii owners. So big that they aren’t spilling the beans on exactly what the game is or when Wii owners can expect it. Over at N-Europe they asked Christian Svensson, the Vice President of Strategic Planning & Business Development straight up: “Are we going to see Bionic Commando, Lost Planet or something like this on the Wii?” and his reply was: “Possible… the “or something like this” part we could talk about in a couple weeks perhaps.”

Kind of makes one wonder doesn’t it? Also, consider that E3 is right around the corner and throw that into your ponderings. We’ll just have to wait and see what this mystery game is coming to Wii, I’m just hoping it’s something good and either a new IP or a new game in an existing franchise (Strider or Mega Man please!) and not a port of something we’ve already seen and/or played before.

After the recent nonsense from Ubizoft, I hope Capcom do not disappoint.
